Its only a month or so late lol. But I finally have a spare minute to put this together.

Was an interesting night, particularly as I got to enjoy the show along with my parents running commentary…
Ladi 6 performance – Dad “She looks possessed”, Mum “Her make-up is terrible”, Me “I think the drummer is mean”.
Avalanche City performance – Dad “who are these guys?”, Mum “Oh look the balloons are pretty”, Me “Pafe’s ukulele group did a cool cover of this at his school talent show.” Also spotted… Dave, Lani, Che and Shirl having balloon fights and popping them all lol.
All three of us – “Dave was robbed”. Fail to understand how Ladi 6 is urban/hiphop.
Tiki Taane – Dad *smh*, Mum “fave performance of the night, just brilliant”, Me “loved how he did his pepeha when accepting the Best Maori Award”.
Brooke Fraser – Dad “By far the best performance of the night. You know why she had the highest selling single and album eh? Cos of the christian fans… they actually buy music still.” Mum “She’s always good, but I can’t stand her silly eyelashes”. Me… singing along.
These guys (Bic Runga and the Mint Chicks dude) woke Ezra up with their screaming. Not impressed, keep it down will ya, just got my baby to sleep lol.
The Naked and Famous – Dad “Enh, don’t see what the fuss is about them”, Mum “I can’t understand anything they’re singing”, Me “the row behind us like them”.
Supergroove cover Dragon’s “Rain” – Mum & Dad *blank looks* “Who’s Dragon?” Me & Nina… rocking out & singing loudly.
Nina works the red carpet… and then its off home. Fun times…
