I’m halfway through my third week of jury service at the Auckland High Court… two and a half weeks of catching the train into the city, hiking up a hill and sitting listening to boring lawyers ask the same question twenty times over.
Its not all bad though… I’ve managed to read four books in the last week on the train, and I’ve actually started to lose weight for the first time all year walking up the hill lol. But for me, the best perk has to be being surrounded by Buck Nin’s amazing artwork. There are three of his paintings on the level where our courtroom is, and I get to feast my eyes on them every day…
